Clondalkin Village – Knockmitten – Clonburris
You may have heard that I’ll be on the move soon – yes it’s true. The Archbishop has asked me to work with the parishioners of Enniskerry from mid September. All this just when I thought I was safely ensconced in Clondalkin until my retirement – or until they carried me out in a box! But, no; “Ní mar a síltear bítear” as the sean-fhocal has it.
Thank you for 12 wonderful years. Thanks especially for being with me when times were difficult. And, in a general statement, let me say I’m particularly grateful to those of you who have taken up the challenge of serving your local church and parish community with a generous sense of commitment – in committees and community groups. Clondalkin is in good hands, thank God. But, over the next few weeks, I hope to thank you personally.
