Clondalkin Village – Knockmitten – Clonburris
What in the World?, now in its sixth series, has been reporting on human rights violations across the world for the past decade. In that time it has garnered a solid reputation for bringing seldom-heard stories of the oppressed and the dispossessed of the world to Irish audiences.
The four-part, twenty-five minute series is part-funded by RTE, Irish Aid, cross-denominational religious missionary congregations, non-governmental organisations and one trade union.
The next series begins on RTE One Television on Tuesday 30 October at 11 p.m. with a report on the on-going conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This is followed by a report on ten years of independence in Timor Leste (Tuesday 6 November), the logging industry in Honduras (Tuesday 13 November) and Ethiopia thirty years after the 1984 famine (Tuesday 20 November).
