We recently received a letter from Archbishop Martin saying that he is happy to appoint our own Fr Damian Farnon as Administrator of the Parish of Clondalkin – an office which was formerly called ‘Parish Priest’.

May I congratulate Damian on his new appointment – and wish him every blessing. I am so grateful to him for his friendship and camaraderie – from the time of his student days in Clonliffe to our time in shared ministry here in Clondalkin. Damian is one of the most obliging and thoughtful people I have ever met – and I’ve met a few in my time! And he comes with great experience of this parish as he takes on his new role as its parish priest.

This announcement comes with the further good news that the Archbishop has appointed a new curate, Fr Pádraig O’Sullivan, to Clondalkin from ministry in Skerries and Balbriggan. Fr Pádraig comes to join the team, with Fr Damian, Fr Des, Fr Jim and Fr Shán and our two Parish Pastoral Workers, Peter and Christopher.
